In thirty seconds
- You keep copyright. Always. Publishing here does not transfer ownership of anything.
- You grant a non-exclusive license to publish the version you approved, and to promote it with excerpts you approved.
- Non-exclusive means you can republish it anywhere — your blog, LinkedIn, your employer’s intranet.
- You approve the exact text before publication. A material change afterwards needs your approval again.
- You can correct or withdraw at any time, without giving a reason.
- Nobody is paid, in either direction. You are not paid to contribute; nobody can pay for acceptance.
What you are granting, precisely
A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish the approved version on this site, include it in the weekly email and the RSS feed, and quote approved excerpts to promote it. The license ends for future use if you withdraw — it does not reach back into copies already distributed.
What you are promising us
- The experience is yours, or one you were directly involved in.
- You have the right to share it — it is not your employer’s confidential material or another publisher’s exclusive.
- You have protected the people in it, or have their consent.
- You have disclosed any commercial relationship — see disclosure.
What we promise you
- We publish nothing you have not seen in final form.
- We do not sell or share your contact details, ever.
- We do not use your story to imply you endorse anything.
- We do not claim exclusivity, and we do not ask you to leave another platform.
- Acceptance is never implied by submission, and we say no clearly rather than leaving you waiting.
